Scope and role in data processing
DATASKERA provides data products and services, including Tableau Desktop extensions, related implementation support, training, and consulting. Depending on the context, DATASKERA may act as:
- Data controller for website, lead management, and direct customer communication data.
- Data processor when processing customer-provided data on behalf of a client organization.
Data categories and product-specific context
- Identity and business contact data (name, business email, company, role, request details).
- Contract and support data (subscriptions, tickets, implementation exchanges, account records).
- Technical and security logs (IP, browser/device metadata, timestamps, error diagnostics).
- Usage and performance telemetry needed to maintain, secure, and improve our Tableau extension services.
For Tableau extension use cases, customer business data displayed in dashboards remains under the customer's governance. DATASKERA does not claim ownership of customer analytical data.

Legal bases include contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and consent where required.
Sharing, subprocessors, retention, and security
We may rely on vetted service providers (hosting, analytics, communications, support tooling) under contractual data protection obligations. We do not sell personal data.
Data is retained only for the duration necessary for the purposes above and legal/accounting requirements. Security controls include access management, least-privilege practices, monitoring, and incident handling procedures aligned with business and regulatory obligations.
If processing involves transfers outside the EEA, appropriate safeguards (including standard contractual clauses where applicable) are used.
